Who’s Online!
We’re delighted to inform you that now each of you can see who’s online at any given time and chat with them! It’s such a great feature and can only encourage fellowship between our members. So how does it work? There are several ways you can see who is online*:

Under the “members” section on the homepage, simply click on “online” and those members online will appear.

Under the “site stats” click on “online”

On the menu bar, click on “members” and then select “online”.

Browse through list of members and any member online will have their light-bulb (found in top right-hand corner of profile photo) lit!

Click on “my presence” and a pop-up box will show who else is online.
(* Please note that to appear online you much be logged-in!)
How To Use Instant Messenger, FREE for ALL Members!
Now you can instant message anyone online! Simply click on the speech bubble that is highlighted when you move your mouse over their profile picture! This will enable a pop-up box to display! Then type your message!
Your message will then pop-up on the other user’s Internet church page!
To reply to a message it is very important that you follow these instructions: Make sure that in the “Message to” box you have the person who sent you a message selected, and not another user (otherwise your messages will go to that other user)! E.g. If TheAkas sent you a message make sure they are selected in this box and not, for example, Elizabeth!
To choose a user to correspond with right-click the drop-down menu next to “message to”, and select! If the user is not in this list then it is simple to add him/her/them!: Click on the magnifying class symbol (search for user) and a small box will pop up. Type in users Nickname (i.e.username), click on “search”. When found the username will change colour – green for a member online and red for a member off-line! At this point simply click on Add. You will then find them added to the said list and select from there, if not already done so!
This messenger can also be accessed via “My account” and “my messenger”!
Please note that these instructions should not be confused with IM – a more advanced chat system, which is available for use by Gold Members only. Advanced IM (which is activated by clicking on “IM (username) now!”) includes video/audio chat plus many other features!
FREE CHAT for ALL Members!
We also have the pleasure in announcing a new public chat system available for FREE at The Internet Church! Once you have logging in simply click on “free chat” on the menu bar, and you can access a public fellowship chat, where you can chat with anyone online! Chat rooms are also available for Bible Questions and Answers, Fellowship, Bible Discussion and Counselling! Simply right click drop-down arrow next to “Channel” (top left-hand side!).
